How Docaposte leverages Webcapsule to revolutionize online voting
Docaposte, a subsidiary of La Poste Group, is a leading provider of digital trust and data management services in France. Their services span across various sectors, from secure digital identity to online voting solutions, ensuring compliance with strict security and privacy regulations. One of Docaposte's subsidiaries, specializes in online voting, providing secure and reliable solutions for electronic voting.
The Challenge: Modernizing a subsidiary’s Client Portal
When Docaposte decided to revamp their subsidiary's client portal for their online voting product, they faced a significant challenge. They needed to accelerate the time to market while maintaining the highest levels of security and compliance, particularly because they were dealing with sensitive voting data. To meet this challenge, subsidiary’s CTO as a service decided to explore the possibilities of NoCode solutions combined with traditional coding techniques.
Why NoCode?
NoCode platforms offer a faster, more flexible way to develop and deploy applications without the need for extensive coding. However, NoCode alone wasn’t enough to meet all of the subsidiary’s complex requirements, especially in areas related to CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) and cloud sovereignty. This is where Webcapsule came into play.
The Webcapsule Solution
Webcapsule was brought on board to handle the deployment and orchestration of NoCode tools on a self-hosted OVH cloud, which is compliant with the stringent security constraints of Docaposte. Webcapsule’s deployment included both NoCode components and the integration of standard code elements that replaced outdated NoCode modules. This hybrid approach allowed the subsidiary to leverage the strengths of both NoCode for rapid development and traditional code for more complex functionalities. Webcapsule took care of much of the DevOps workload, simplifying the collaboration between the development team and streamlining the entire process.
Outcome: A 70% Reduction in Time to Market
Thanks to Webcapsule, Docaposte successfully utilized Xano as a backend-as-a-service, combined with their standard front-end code, while minimizing the need for extensive DevOps involvement. This resulted in a remarkable 70% reduction in the time to market for their revamped client portal. Webcapsule’s solution not only met but exceeded Docaposte’s expectations, enabling them to deliver a secure, efficient, and user-friendly platform for online voting.
